2013-2014 AP Awards

The AP Program offers several AP Scholar Awards to recognize high school students who have demonstrated college-level achievement through AP courses and exams. Please join us on Friday, Dec. 19 at 8:30 a.m. in the auditorium, as we celebrate these outstanding Kellam students' accomplishments:

  • 48 AP 5 Scholars
  • 74 AP Scholars
  • 28 AP Scholars with Honor
  • 25 AP Scholars with Distinction and
  • 2 National AP Scholars

    Basketball Season Opens

    Janai Raynor-Powell scored 18 points and led the basketball team to their win in the season opener on December 1 at Landstown High School. Noah Singer helped control the boards with 9 rebounds and combined with Jared Grooms for another 25 points to help the Knights secure the 64 to 61 win.

    AP/PSAT Information Night

    Students who took the PSAT in October can pick up their test results on Jan. 6 beginning at 6:45 pm. A program will be held at 7:00 pm in the auditorium to share information about AP courses and how to interpret the AP scores.

    Cross Country

    Our Kellam cross country ace did it; Ryan Drew earned all-state honors when he raced to a 4th place finish at the state cross county championship in northern Virginia. Christian McDonald, Eileen Vedder and Taylor Jones also had outstanding performances in their first state cross country meets. Congratulations to the entire cross country team for their fantastic season and outstanding performances. Good luck to everyone during the winter season!
